Remembrance

It is now 37 years since the Gaul was lost in the Barents Sea.

Two public inquiries were held (in 1974 and 2004) and both failed to reveal the causes of the tragedy. 36 crewmen perished with the Gaul.

I don't know if there is anything in Wikileaks about the Gaul, but I can tell you what the British Establishment knows and has known for a number of years.

Though it may be interesting to find out what was in John Prescott's phone mailbox in 2006. Wonder if the Gaul was mentioned.; 9:18 PM
